Biogas Purification System for Hamilton’s Woodward Avenue Wastewater Treatment Plant

The City of Hamilton's Woodward Avenue Wastewater Treatment Plant is being upgraded to include a biogas purification system to produce Ontario's first source of renewable natural gas (RNG), Mezei reports. A water scrubbing process supplied by Greenlane Biogas will be used to purify the biogas to pipeline grade of 98% methane. The RNG will be fed into Union Gas' natural gas pipeline.
