Douglas Carruthers

Douglas Carruthers brings 20 years of organic residual management experience - which is founded upon a prior overlapping 20 years in the North American beef cattle production, marketing and processing industries. Doug is a key strategist working with Organic Resource Management Inc., a food sector vacuum truck services company that produces feedstock designed to maximize performance and minimize operating costs for AD operators. Doug has developed numerous strategic contacts across the entire spectrum of the North American and European organic waste diversion markets over the last 20 years. He has focused on anaerobic digestion since 2004 and invested considerable time and resources to promote the Canadian application of anaerobic digestion. He is a committed ‘warrior’ in the RESOP and FIT battles to achieve regulatory justice for biogas, the ‘reliable renewable’ and looks to continue this pursuit with the APAO.
